TRRP Experiencee-Lab Analytical was fortunate to participate in the beta-testing phase of TRRP-13 Review and Reporting of COC Concentration Data rule. e-Lab worked closely with 2 TCEQ TRRP 13 committee members prior to the implementation of the rule. With feedback from the committee members, test methods were modified to best meet PCLs, report formats were tweaked, and TRRP Checklists streamlined. Currently 50% of all work at e-Lab is TRRP compliant with the TRRP Checklist provided at time of data delivery. Additionally, e-Lab Analytical has performed in excess of 20 training seminars for clients to better understand TRRP-13 and the generation of Data Usability Summaries (DUS). This training program qualifies for Continuing Education Credit for Professional Engineers and Professional Geologists.
Metals Analysis Capabilities
e-Lab Analytical is a premier analytical center of excellence for metals analysis by ICP-MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma – Mass Spectrometry). e-Lab is a showcase analytical center of excellence for Agilent Technologies (formerly HP) featuring 5 ICP-MS’s across its laboratory network. The volume, throughput, and development of the application for environmental samples is second-to-none in the nation. The analysis for speciated metals is currently being developed.
Analysis of Dredge Materials and Sediments
Again, e-Lab Analytical has been fortunate to work closely with the Port of Houston, TCEQ, Army Corps of Engineers, and EPA to perfect the analytical capabilities for dredge materials and sediments. e-Lab was chosen through a rigorous performance evaluation amongst all major analytical centers of excellence in the greater Houston area to perform analysis for highly litigious investigations along the Houston Ship Channel. With this experience e-Lab continues to provide sediment and dredge material testing for many offshore scenarios.
